About NeedATag
Two founders, one idea: getting to your business should take a single tap.
Our story
NeedATag started with one product: custom NFC tags for restaurants. A guest taps their phone on the tag at the table and the menu opens, with no app and no QR code. Every tag is designed to match the restaurant’s brand.
We’re two Computer Science grads, Kyle from UMD and Alex from UVA, who wanted to build something useful for the businesses around us. Once restaurants started asking for more, the name grew with them. NeedAWebsite builds the site your tag opens. NeedACard puts your business on an NFC card you can hand to anyone. Whatever you need, if it can be tapped, we can make it.
